The Challenge
Understanding the problem space and identifying key obstacles.
Sharing a Wi-Fi password is a small, universal annoyance, and most QR code generators that solve it are cluttered, ad heavy, or quietly send your details to a server. They also tend to look generic, which is the opposite of what you want stuck on the wall of a tasteful cafe, rental, or home.
The goal was a free tool that was actually a pleasure to use, beautiful enough that people would want to print and display the result, private enough to trust with a password, and good enough to double as a portfolio piece for Href Creative.

We built PrettyWifi as a focused, single purpose tool that does one thing exceptionally well, then made it private by default.
How we built it

A real design range: Two dozen hand-designed poster styles, so the finished QR poster fits the space it lives in, from a minimalist studio to a maximalist bar.

Private by architecture: The network name and password are encoded entirely in the browser. Nothing is stored, and nothing is sent to a server.

No friction: No account, no email gate, and no paywall. A guest fills in two fields and gets a print ready poster in seconds.

Print perfect output: The posters are laid out for clean printing, so the QR code scans reliably straight off the page.
